Thief steals lap-top from tech-mall

Russell Lindquist

GROSSMONT, Feb.9 –“Nobody noticed someone just stole a laptop out of the tech-mall,” said Mojdeh Badiei, a tutor at the tech-mall.  Michael Ragan, another tutor, said that yesterday was the first time, in his 10 years of working there, that he had heard of someone having stolen a laptop from the tech-mall.

“A lot of little stuff gets stolen here and there: flash drives, car keys; and sometimes things actually just end up in our lost-and-found,” Ragan said.  “A few years back,” he recalled, “someone was coming in every morning, getting away with  two or three flash drives, and it turned out that he was wiping them and selling them.”

There is no security personnel in the tech-mall – the workers there serve only as tutors;  so we students need to keep our eyes on our stuff!
