GROSSMONT COLLEGE — Every semester, the Inter-Club Council (ICC) hosts a Club Faire in which an array of clubs offered on the college campus get the opportunity to recruit new members. It happens again on Wednesday of this week.
The Faire is also meant as an inspiration to those students who wish to start a club/organization of their own.
Currently, Grossmont offers over 30 active student clubs/organizations that range from pottery and politics to community activities and activism.
Joining a club is the perfect way to develop leadership, as well as understand and facilitate the process of event planning along with incorporating faculty, staff, students and community perspectives, according to Sara Glasgow, director of student affairs.
Glasgow said that this year the ICC “working on clubs collaborating with each other“ while using social media to get the word out.
The ICC Club Faire is planned Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 11am – 2pm and Thursday, Sept.r 29 from 1pm-4pm in the grass beside near the campus foodstore.
