GROSSMONT COLLEGE (Press Release) –The Main Quad will be the scene of the 32nd Career Expo/ Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13, in the Main Quad. The fair will feature Roadtrip Nation, an organization dedicated to inspiring people to finding careers that they will enjoy.
Other events and clinics during Career Week will include:
Monday, Oct. 11 – “How to Navigate a Job Fair/ Resume and Cover Letters” will be the subject of presentations in the Main Quad, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. AND 11 a.m. to Noon,
“Dress for Success/ Interview Dynamics” will also be presented in the Main Quad, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and from Noon to 1 p.m.
“Be A Star Performer,” Soft Skills=Career Success” meanwhile will be presented from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Building 36, Room 346.
Tuesday, Oct. 12 –“The Competitive Edge, Training for Your Next Career,” will be presented from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Building 34, Room 255.
“What Employers Want,” a panel of human resources directors, will be presented from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Building 34, Room 255.
Thursday, Oct. 14 – “Lower the Red Flag: Getting a new life and moving ahead” will be the subject of a talk by Dr. Lisa Romain from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.. Meeting Place will be announced for this workshop recommended for parolees, counselors, career center directors, faculty, employers and students.
