Dead Body Found on Campus
A campus visitor unexpectedly passed away while using the running track.
An unnamed individual was found unresponsive on the campus of Grossmont College on Friday, Oct 29.
According to the press release from the Chancellor’s Office of Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District, the body was found on campus by an employee at around 10:35 a.m.
The press release added the person might have collapsed while exercising on the campus running track, and the employee called 911.
“Authorities responded and pronounced the individual deceased,” Dr. Lynn Neault, the district chancellor, wrote in the press release. “There is no sign of suspicious activity.”
The Chancellor’s Office reported the individual was a visitor of the campus, and their death appears to be from natural causes.
Neault offered her deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and said, “The Employee Assistance Program is available to any employees seeking support.”
