    GCCCD loves a parade!

EL CAJON (Press Release)—Parades, little and big, have their fans in the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District .

A “conga line” on the Cuyamaca College campus is planned Oct. 13 to present the “employee of the quarter” award to a staff member, whose name has yet to be announced. Chancellor Cindy L. Miles plans to be one of the lead dancers in the formation.

Meanwhile staff members at both Cuyamaca and Grossmont College are laying plans to participate in the annual “Mother Goose Parade” which is held on the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to join in the parade, which will cover approximately three miles after the 8 a.m., start on Sunday, Nov. 20. Volunteers have created a platform vehicle to promote the two campuses, followed by walkers, who will carpool back to their parking spots from Wells Park.

Yvette Macy, one of the campus organizers, said “ If you would like to join ASGCC and ASGC student leaders, campus mascots, Classified Senate, Chancellor Miles, and Governing Board members at the parade, please RSVP to [email protected] or at Ext. 7511 by Thursday, November 10th.”
