GROSSMONT COLLEGE (Press Release)–The Guitar Guild will present a performance by the Benedetti Trio, featuring Grossmont College guitar instructor Fred Benedetti and his two daughters, Julia Benedetti and Regina Benedetti, starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2 at the campus Recital Hall, Room #220, Building #26. The performance is a fund-raiser for the Grossmont College Guitar Guild. The public is invited to attend. Cost to attend is $10 per person general admission. Tickets are available at the door. Benedetti serves as chair of Grossmont College’s guitar studies program and co-chair of the Grossmont College Music Department. He has taught at Grossmont since January 1985. An active performer at several venues in San Diego County, Benedetti has shared the stage with world-renown artists and played the strings before royalty and world leaders. Grossmont’s Music Department guitar program is believed to be the largest in Southern California and perhaps within California’s 112-college community college system with more than 300 students enrolled in guitar classes at various levels of ability, including beginner, intermediate, classical guitar and guitar ensemble.
