Construction on campus perimeter road

As we get prepared for the 2023 New Year and semester, we are steadily seeing the campus enter full swing. The latest improvements are coming to the perimeter drive to restore the functionality and appearance of the roadway.
Featuring a full reconstruction of the road, the campus will see a resealed, striped and flush road ready for use by early January. The project will see eight phases that will cover different sections of the road that will take one week each to complete. Perimeter road repair began Nov. 28, and the project has been carefully planned to bring a fully reconstructed road.
Details on the first phase of construction are as follows and are tentative in regard to the other seven phases. Through December 4, the west campus road was closed, with Lots 2 and 3 west closed as well. This will circumvent traffic to a single-lane entry point via Lot 3 east, which was monitored by a flagman from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Lots 1N, 3E and 4 have several ADA parking that can be used to access the campus. Students and staff should allow ample time to get places under these circumstances and be patient as these improvements will bring about a better Grossmont College.
