GROSSMONT COLLEGE- The Ceramics class had a display set up in the large quad where an assortment of items were available to purchase. The set up was five long tables full of different types of Ceramic works. “It is a two day event that runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.,” said Ceramics student Ean Escoto.
“We do this every year,” said Escoto. “It’s just for the class and for supplies. It’s not an actual on-campus club with activities and such; it’s just a class.”
“Not everyone in the class puts one thing in, it’s just whoever is interested puts in as many things as they want to,” he added.
The event reportedly has raised as much as $3000 in past years, but participants did not expect to get close to that number this year as there was a very low turnout.
The event began Tuesday, Dec. 6, and was scheduled to continue until 4 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 7.
