Mental health survey sent out to students

Grossmont College is taking part in the Healthy Minds study being conducted nationwide with the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan.

The survey is specifically designed for college students, and as of April 10, the survey has already been emailed to students who are eligible to participate.

According to an email sent out by Sara Varghese, dean of Student Affairs, the study will be used to “better understand student well-being, mental health support and services and other mental and emotional health topics.”

Not only will the information provided be used for the study but also for the improvement of programs and services on campus. For those who complete the survey, there is complete confidentiality and a chance to win prizes.

Survey participants have the chance to win a Visa gift card for $500, $400, $200 or $100.
