S.D. Blood Bank to mount 2-day drive on campus

GROSSMONT COLLEGE–San Diego Blood Bank’s mobile trailor will be at the Main Quad from 19 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, and from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 14, for a blood drive honoring Trevor Norby, 12, who has been battling aplastic anemia since 2006.

“Trevor has received transfusions as part of his retreatment and is responding well,: according to a statement from the Blood Bank.   , members of the Grossmont College ocmmunity “can help to ensure the blood is available when Trevor, and patients like him, need it.”

If you are planning to donate blood, the Blood Bank advises: “Please eat a good meal and drink plenty of fluids before donatign blood.  All donors must show proof of identification.”  More information is available at www.sandiegobloodbank.org or by calling (800) 469-7322.
