WASHINGTON, D.C. (USANN4)–An emergency assistance fund has been extended for Japanese students in the U.S. The Institute of International Education will continue to accept applications from universities that wish to apply for funds for Japanese students from regions hit by the earthquake and tsunami.
The institute has already distributed $400,000 to 100 students nominated by their schools. It is reviewing additional applications on a rolling basis.
