`Dead Man’s Cell Phone’ will ring in October

GROSSMONT COLLEGE (Press Release)–The Theatre  Arts Department will present Dead Man’s Cell Phone, a mystery and romantic comedy, at 7:30 p.m. on October 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8 and 15, at the Stagehouse Theatre.

Featuring Grossmont College drama students, Dead Man’s Cell Phone is the story that begins when a man dies at a café and his cell phone won’t stop ringing. A woman named Jean, sitting at a nearby table, decides to answer the phone and sets in motion a chain of events that is baffling, mysterious, comic and grim. She becomes involved with the dead man’s wife, mother, mistress and brother, with whom she ends up falling in love. Dead Man’s Cell Phone is written by Sarah Ruhl and directed by Martin Katz.

General admission for each performance is $12 per person. The box office will open one hour prior to all performances. For more information, phone
(619) 644-7234, or visit www.grossmont.edu/theatrebrochure.
