College acceptance rates falling

WASHINGTON, D.C. (USANN4) –College acceptance rates drop again in 2011.   The Washington Post reports that Harvard received nearly 35,000 applications for the class of 2015.   It accepted a little over 2,100 students for an admission rate of 6-point-2 percent.   Fellow Ivy League institution Columbia had an admit rate of 6-point-9 percent.   That’s down from last year’s rate of 9-point-2 percent.

Out West, Stanford had an admission rate of 7-point-1 percent.   Yale was slightly higher at 7-point-35 percent.
