GROSSMONT COLLEGE — Plumbing problems have forced the temporary closure of the restrooms in Building 34, college officials reported Tuesday. Until further notice, people should use the restrooms in Buildings 30 or 36 as alternatives.

Campus yard sale
GROSSMONT COLLEGE — Parking Lot 7 will be turned into a bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 29, for an all-campus yard sale from 8 a.m. to noon. The event is cosponsored by the Associated Students of Grossmont College and the Inter-Club Council.
Only registered campus clubs will be permitted to set up booths at the sale, although students who have items to donate are encouraged to do so. Proceeds will benefit various student organizations.
Campus officials say items will be inspected upon donation and any items deemed incapable of being sold will not be accepted. Prohibited items include drug paraphernalia, firearms, ammunition, knives with blades longer than three inches, weapons and explosives.

Theatre Arts Fundraiser
LA MESA — The Theatre Arts Department of Grossmont College will hold a Souplantation fundraiser from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.Tuesday, November 1, at 9158 Fletcher Parkway. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the participants will be donated by Souplantation to the Theatre Arts Department.
